Student Paper Competition
Students and recent post-docs are invited to submit a journal article (8000 word limit) based on their PhD or MSc research. The ESRS 2015 scientific committee will select the best paper, and work with the author to develop it for publication in Sociologia Ruralis. The winner will also receive a scholarship to cover the cost of the congress fee, field trip, congress dinner and accommodation in Aberdeen (en suite university accommodation). Please note that papers should be single authored by the student.
Papers must be based on an abstract accepted to the ESRS congress – new abstracts are no longer being considered. Full papers should be submitted through the congress submission system. Full papers are due on 1st May 2015.
Please note that if a student and their supervisor have co-authored an abstract accepted to the ESRS 2015 congress, and the student would now like to enter the student paper competition, we can remove the supervisor as an author from the abstract, with the supervisor’s written permission. To keep the competition fair, it is important that the paper represents the student’s own work.
