MDT Access Scholarships

The MDT access scholarships are for participants who, for financial reasons, would otherwise not be able to attend the congress. The scholarships are funded by the Macaulay Development Trust (MDT) which supports excellent research into the sustainable use of land and natural resources, for the benefit of people, their community and the environment

A limited number of scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis, based on the two page paper submitted to the congress proceedings, a letter explaining why the applicant would like to attend the congress and a letter of support from the applicant’s supervisor or department head.  Applications will be evaluated by the local organising committee. Individuals at any stage of their career may apply; students are welcome to apply for both an access scholarship and the student paper competition.  Applications are due on 1 May 2015. Please note that all two page paper submissions should be based on abstracts accepted for oral presentations.  Abstract submission are now closed.

The award will cover the cost of the congress fee, field trip, congress dinner and accommodation in Aberdeen (en suite university accommodation).  It will not cover the cost of travel to Aberdeen or subsistence while en route to or staying in Aberdeen.
